A large influx of freshers ensured that the departing fourth years were not missed (particularly S'face, who the club was delighted to see the back of) and yet another double was won. Mayne's appeaarances in the cuppers semi and final was similar to his running of sessions: non existant. His greatest and arguably only achivment was reinstating the tradition of an over weight redboy captain. Fourth years and above made to finish for four in a row. 2006-2007 - Captain: Oli Buxton Largely due to the captain's absence the league title was once again deliverd to CB2 1TP on a plate. Determined to make it hard for his team Buxton put in some abysmal performances especially at Grange road but even he couldn't prevent the rule from being followed and a triple double from being won. 2005-2006 - Captain: Ashley Elliot Cuppers Winners, League Champions. Again. Getting fairly boring now.
The last of a great of dynasty of overweight captains, the season that
Fatty-Fat-Fat-Fat supervised was in fact surprisingly flair. Semi-professional
'El-Hundo' failed to impress, although Drage was kind enough to enlighten
us to the existence of a college league disciplinary panel. 2004-2005 - Captain: Matthew Maitland Cuppers Winners, League Champions. What more can be said. Exemplary organisation. Then Maitland ruined it all by running off with the Cuppers Trophy and Captain's Jacket and sulking. 2003-2004 - Captain: Adam Brown League Champions, Played 10, Won 10. 398 Points for. Passable really. 2002-2003 - Captain: Robert Wells League Champions, of course. The Style of play was as you would expect from a 6'5" Welshman. Straight up the middle please Gents. Someone eventually pointed out at the end of the season to the captain that the outside centre and wings could be used in an attacking role. 2001-2002 - Captain: Mike Bell League Champions. Standard Really. Smoking was almost made compulsory.
